Makhana (Foxnut)

Makhana, also called fox nut or phool makhana, is the popped seed of the water lily and one of India's oldest snacking foods.

Ours is plain: cleaned, sorted, and packed with nothing added. Light and crisp, it is an everyday snack and a fasting-day staple. Roast it in a little ghee, or use it in kheer, curries, and raita.

• Single ingredient, nothing added. Only makhana. No colours, no preservatives, no chemicals. Cleaned, sorted, and packed as is.
• Grown without chemical pesticides. Sourced from farmers who grow on natural farms that do not use chemical pesticides.
• Minimally processed, small batch. Popped and packed in small batches, carefully handled to keep it crisp.
• Everyday snack. Eat it plain or roasted. Suitable for fasting days, and works in kheer, curries, and as a soup or salad topping.

Store in a cool, dry place. Keep the pack sealed after opening.
