At Jaivik Setu, we believe food should nourish our bodies along with the planet and the people who grow it. Since 2014, every choice we make is guided by our core philosophy, which is to make food that is -
Nourishes people. Respects
the Earth. Supports farmers.
Our Story
Jaivik Setu began in 2014 with a deep concern for the future of our environment, soil, and farmers. Our co-founder, Ambrish Kela, a passionate environmentalist, saw how commercial farming was harming soil health, water, biodiversity, and ultimately the people consuming this food. In response, we built a farmers collective committed to regenerative and organic practices like agroforestry, permaculture, and food forests.
Today, we work with 500+ farmers across India to restore soil vitality, strengthen farm ecosystems, and support farmer livelihoods while delivering truly clean, nourishing food to our community. Over the past decade, this shared effort has grown from a small farmers haat into a thriving farmers market, along with multiple grocery stores and a café, creating spaces where clean food, conscious choices, and community come together.
“We believe eating well isn’t a one-day choice, but a way of life - and we exist to make that lifestyle easier, healthier, and more transparent”

Our Process
1. Data collection
We connect with likeminded farmers who are natural and/or organic certified. If they are not certified but practice natural farming, we assist them in obtaining the certification. We start by understanding their farming philosophies, practices, and goals.
2. Sample Collection
Once we are aligned, we go to the farms for sample collection and an in-person inspection to check on the crops and produce. We collect soil samples, which are then tested for organic carbon, macro and micro nutrients, pesticide presence, and also verify that the farming practices are upheld to our requirements. This includes checking for the presence of animals for soil enrichment, natural pest-control methods (like paanch patta kada or neem sprays), on-site composting (vermi-compost, jeevamrut, waste recycling), crop diversity/ intercropping, native seed bank, and minimal to no external inputs.
3. Audit
After the soil samples and farm practices are approved, we continue to work with the farmers to assist them whenever any support is required. We also perform periodic surprise audits to monitor and verify compliance with the farming guidelines. Samples are obtained during these visits which are then sent to labs to test for 250 chemical and pesticide parameters.
Our Community & Impact
We believe food should nourish people and the planet, and this belief guides our community focused work. By building close relationships with farmers, producers, and conscious consumers, we support clean food systems, responsible sourcing, and sustainable choices that create lasting impact beyond the plate.
