Our sattu begins in two places. The chana comes from Khargone, a district in southwestern Madhya Pradesh known for some of the finest Bengal gram grown in central India. The black soil of the Nimar region, fed by the Narmada basin, produces chana with a density and flavour that sets it apart from commodity grain. The pearl barley comes from Rajasthan, where dry-climate farming through generations has developed a grain that is naturally hardy, low in moisture, and well-suited to roasting. Both are sourced directly from farmers in our network who follow chemical-free, natural farming practices, verified through regular farm visits and audits.
